What a Travesty! We've Been Using Sanitary Towels Wrongly? Here's How!

Do you know that you have been using sanitary towels incorrectly? This article will give you the reason why. All females know how to put on a sanitary towel - right in between the underwear and the vulva. In the market, there are two kinds, one with adhesives to stick it on the panty while the other one has wings s you can wrap them under the panty and keep the sanitary towel in order. However, both should be changed in every four to eight hours.

So what should be done with the sanitary towels?

First, remove the sanitary towel wrapper. After sitting on your toilet, use your knees and place your undies under it. Fold the wing flaps and take off the adhesive strip covering the center.

Now, press the pad onto your panties so that the part with the adhesive will stick on your panty. Then, flap the wings around your panty and keep it intact. If you're using thongs, then the wider part must be inserted in front of the underwear.

Ensure that the sanitary pad is placed correctly before pulling your underwear up. The pad must be able to cover the entire vulva. Every two hours, check the sanitary pad if it needs changing. If it is already wet on the surface and not absorbing menstrual blood anymore, change it already.

Before throwing the sanitary towel to the garbage, fold it and wrap it with a toilet paper.

If you are using reusable sanitary towels, here is how it should be done properly.

Place the panties above your knees, while sitting on the toilet. Then, get the sanitary towels and place them on the crotch area of your undies, snap the wings and make sure they are facing towards you.

Now, fold these wings over the sides of your underwear crotch. Check the sanitary cloth every two hours and change if it doesn't absorb any menstrual blood.

To keep them sanitary for reuse, ensure to soak them in soapy water after usage so that the blood will be rinsed off entirely.

Then, use the washing machine and let the detergent work its magic.

Lastly, ensure that you dispose your sanitary pads away from reach of kids and pets. This is because some pets are attracted by the smell of blood.
