The primary cause of death in these contemporary times is cancer. This is not only for the US, but for any country all over the globe. In Canada only, 30% of all the deathsa is related to cancer. Ovarian cancer stands out in Canada as it records 2800 new cases and 1750 deaths in 2016 alone, while 22,280 new cases and 14,240 deaths have been recorded the same year for the US.

Ovarian cancer occurs when ovary cells develop tumors becoming malignat. Often called the silent killer since signs and symptoms cannot be easily detected. It is most common for post-menopausal women but it can also attack younger women. Recent studies show that the chances of survival gets high when the disease is detected early on. This implies that women should have regular check-ups.

Sadly, no reliable test is available for ovarian cancer. The CA125 blood test has chances to turn out false negatives while smear tests do not indicate malignant cells. Another thing, most of the signs and symptoms associated to ovarian cancer can be seen with other diseases like irritable bowel syndrome.

4 Early Signs of Ovarian Symptoms

  1.  Frequent bloating which can prolong for more than three weeks can indicate malignant tumor development.
  2.  Pain in the lower part of teh abdomen and at the pelvic area lasting for more than three weeks can also indicate pvarian cancer. Pre-menopausal women must be cautious as this can be neglected and regarded as simple menstrual cramps and pain.
  3.  Another indication is having a hard time eating, loss of appetite that can go on for two to three weeks.
  4. Lastly, frequent urination without any change to your liquid intake. Inability to hold your pee and urgent need to take a pee can also be signs of ovarian cancer.

While several symptoms indicated above can be associated with other illnesses and gastrointestinal tract diseases, checking the trend and monitoring the consistency of occurrence must be done. If they persist for a few more weeks, consulting your physician is advisable. Always know how to recognize early symptoms as early detection can really save lives.
